Our Grant Process
JLS is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. In order to make a larger impact in the community, JLS has narrowed its focus: The Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.
The Project Review and Development Committee is seeking project proposals that utilize both funding and volunteers. Our JLS volunteers make a difference in the Greater Springfield area daily; they are well trained, committed and passionate about serving the community.
Note: We are now accepting concept letters for community projects from local not-for-profit agencies and organizations. Project funding and volunteer placement will be fulfilled during the JLS fiscal year, which runs June 2013 through May 2014. All proposals submitted must relate to the prevention of child abuse and neglect in our community.
Concept letters are due by August 3, 2012. Late letters will not be accepted. Letters CAN be emailed. Please e-mail concept letters to Jill Baker, Project Review and Development Chair at jill@bakertalk.com
