JLS trains members to serve the community through many training programs. These include:

• Elevate - an intensive JLS program designed to prepare members for leadership positions within the League and community.
• JLS Board of Directors' workshops and retreats train members for effective leadership on local, regional, state, and national boards.
• New member admissions training and community awareness program.
• Participation in Association of Junior Leagues International sponsored volunteer workshops.
