Elyse Hartley

Provisionals, Chair

JLS History:
I’ve served as a Provisional guide for the last 3 years. Before that, I worked on the Plaid Door committee and Charity Run.
Why I joined JLS:
I joined the Junior League of Springfield to get involved in the Springfield community and to make new friends! Before joining JLS, I was involved in Springfield’s legal community and participated in service projects with them but I wanted to branch out. I did not grow up here or go to college here so moving to Springfield was a fresh start. I found a great group of friends through serving in the Junior League!
Favorite JLS event:
I love volunteering at the Fall Home Tour! It is always a fun day with good food and drinks. It is my favorite time of the year and I love exploring the beautiful homes!
Favorite JLS memory:
I love getting dressed up for Charity Ball and attending the patron’s parties! My favorite JLS volunteer opportunity was when I impressed all of my JLS friends with my sewing skills when I made curtains for a makeover we were doing at a Done In A Day at LifeHouse Crisis Maternity Home.
Life outside the Junior League:
I’m married to my husband, Tyler Hartley. We have one daughter, Mary Emma and our dog, Wendy. We enjoy visiting the Lake of the Ozarks on the weekends and are big Mizzou fans. I’m an estate planning and elder law attorney at Ozarks Elder Law and work in the Springfield and Ozark offices.
Fun Fact:
I got to throw out the first pitch at a Kansas City T-Bones game after selecting the most basketball games correctly in my bracket for March Madness!
