Kendal Bengsch

Assistant Chair, Plaid Door

JLS History:

First active year and served on the Plaid Door Committee as a Provisional.

Why You Joined JLS:

I joined JLS to serve the Springfield community on a deeper level and meet new people. I knew I wanted to spend more of my time volunteering, but I wasn’t sure where to start. After a friend of mine told me how much she loved JLS and the amount of other organizations the League partners with, I knew it was where I wanted to be!

Favorite JLS Event:

The Provisional Know Your City Tour! Even though I’ve always lived in the Springfield area, I previously had no idea just how large of an impact JLS had on organizations I love, like the Discovery Center and the Creamery Arts Center.

Favorite JLS Memory:

All the laugher and awesome conversations had while sorting through donations during Plaid Door work nights.

Life Outside the League:

I work with my family at Eagle Business Forms, Inc. and help supply businesses with custom business forms and paper products. I live in Springfield with my partner, too many books, and three spoiled rescue dogs.

Fun Fact:

I am an Enneagram enthusiast and love taking a deep dive into the nine personality types and what motivates them!
