Why You Joined JLS:

I joined JLS after leaving full-time employment to stay home with my kiddos. I wanted to stay plugged into the community as well as sharpen my professional skills.

Favorite JLS Event:

I love our social & fundraising events! I look forward to Charity Ball each year. Who doesn’t love an auction, live music, and dancing?! I am biased to love working and shopping at the Plaid Door Sale Days. There are true gems you can find at amazing prices. It’s a win for the League and a win for me! Of course the holiday meeting and annual meeting are so fun, too. Every event has an aspect of social and fun that makes them all worthwhile to attend.

Favorite JLS Memory:

I have so many great memories! I loved growing close to my provisional group and knowing we always had someone to show up and sit by to meetings or events. I assisted with many trainings for the League; I assisted in leading a training on self-defense and that was so empowering to share that knowledge with fellow Leaguers! I also taught a class on meal-plan/meal-prep which I enjoyed sharing my work knowledge with women who could really benefit from that to make life easier and healthier. And every Charity Ball from 2016-now also tie with my favorite memory!

Life Outside the League:

I’m married to Jordan Blunt, and I stay home with our two daughters, Finnlee & Melrose, while working part-time at CoxHealth as a Wellness Coach. We are members at CrossFit Raw Steel where I also manage the childcare facility and social media platforms. I enjoy any activity that keeps us active. When I’m not working with Finance Council or Cox, you can find me at our lake cabin or on a paddle board. Seeking joy and zen amidst chaos and busy is a daily pursuit of mine. Or planning vacations (specifically Walt Disney World) with my family.

Fun Fact:

I have a strange obsession with True Crime – podcasts & documentaries. Some find it dark, I find it fascinating. I have a looong list of podcast recommendations; depending on your flavor, I can steer you in the right direction.
