JLS History: I joined in 2019, so this is my first year as a fully active member!

Why You Joined JLS: I wanted the chance to work with a diverse group of women to uplift each other and serve our community. My sister-in-law is a member and assured me JLS is a great place for exactly that.

Favorite JLS Event:  One of my provisional group meetings focused on getting to know several of our JLS community partners, like Girls on the Run, OTC Middle College, and others. It was really great to learn about what each organization does and how we collaborate with them. I left wanting to volunteer with every single group!

Favorite JLS Memory:  I enjoyed the Winter Holiday party in December 2019. I got a hug from Santa, and loved the Dickensian carolers!

Life Outside the League: I am joyfully married to Jacob, and his father lives with us. I have a remarkable 24 year old daughter who lives in the St. Louis area with her partner. I also have 4 cats, 3 dogs, 3 geese, a duck, and a fish tank! Taking care of the menagerie and family, as well as our gardens and yard, keeps me busy enough these days.

Fun Fact: I lived in Springfield from 1998-2004. I’ve lived several other places since, and now live in Lebanon, Missouri – about 45 minutes away. But Springfield still feels like home!
