Ashley Silva

Manager of Community Impact – Elect

JLS History:

I joined Junior League of Springfield in 2017. I started on the Plaid Door committee my provisional year and moved to the Project Review & Development Committee my first active year and have been there ever since! I was a PR&D committee member in 2018-19, assistant chair in 2019-20, and am now chair.

Why You Joined JLS:

After moving back to Springfield (my hometown) after 14 years away for college and then living in Dallas, Texas, I wanted to find an organization where I could make new connections and serve the community. A friend from high school reached out to tell me about Junior League and I decided to jump in. JLS has met all of my expectations and then some!

Favorite JLS Event:

Know Your City Tour was pretty great. Growing up in Springfield, I had no idea the impact that JLS has had and continues to have on the community. It was great to get reacquainted with my city!

Favorite JLS Memory:

I already have too many in my short time with the league. Plaid Door sale days, Home Tour, annual meeting are all top memories. The most recent favorite memory was the virtual charcuterie board class with 417 Charcuterie!

Life Outside the League:

Professionally, I am the Director of Regional Engagement at the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. I serve as a member of the Alumni Advisory Council for Pi Beta Phi at Drury University and volunteer for my church. I am married to Jordan and we have two awesome kids, Esther and Grisham (and a fur-child, Otis).

Fun Fact:

My sister-in-law and I are both Ashley Silva. We married brothers in the same year and have been confusing everyone since 2013.
