Donate to JLS for Giving Tuesday

The Junior League of Springfield (JLS) is joining #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

In honor of #GivingTuesday, on Nov. 30, JLS will celebrate being an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. By kicking off the holiday season with a campaign to collaborate and improve the local community, locals can give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

“JLS has been instrumental in initiating and supporting programs that provide essential services to our community,” JLS President Allison Robertson says. “Without the support of our financial donors and members, we would not be able to make the impact that we do.”

Organizations that have benefited from JLS’s presence in the community include Isabel’s House–Crisis Nursery of the Ozarks, the Discovery Center, Ronald McDonald Tooth Truck, Boys & Girls Club, Leadership Springfield, and the biannual Community Report Card.

“JLS is unique in that every dollar donated to us is rippled throughout the community through the women we provide leadership training to and the many organizations we provide volunteers to every year,” Robertson says. “We are excited to join the global #GivingTuesday movement and look forward to continuing our legacy of giving back to the community.”
