Management Director

JLS History:
I joined in 2007 at Junior League of the Palm Beaches and transferred to Junior League of Springfield (my hometown) in 2014. I was on Community Impact Council (Done in a Day/Done in a Year) from 2007-2015, on Finance Council (Plaid Door) for 2015-16, and on Membership Council (Placement and Admissions) from 2016-2019 before I joined Management Team in 2019 as Management Director-Elect.

Why You Joined JLS:
I had just graduated law school and really wanted to meet some non-attorneys, find ways to learn about and give back to the community, and be the best version of myself I could be. From my knowledge of Junior League, I felt that I could accomplish all those goals with involvement in one organization. Now, nearly 15 years later, I consider joining Junior League one of the best decisions that I’ve ever made!

Favorite JLS Event:
Fall Home Tour. I love cooking, decorating, entertaining, and spending a Saturday morning with my JLS besties and my family, so Fall Home Tour is completely my jam!

Favorite JLS Memory:
There are so many! Working at Plaid Door with my besties, volunteering with OTC Middle College (my favorite DIAD!),  and all things Provisional recruitment! I loved Vicki Clark’s visit in 2017 – she is always so inspiring and I love her sense of humor. I always love the spirit in the room with a September GMM, but I am extremely fond of the holiday GMMs as well! I have also learned so much from the AJLI trainings I’ve attended. Both ODI in Pittsburgh and the AJLI Winter Conference in Phoenix were amazing experiences – both for learning and for bonding with other League members. I highly recommend utilizing this training resource available to League members!

Life Outside the League:
Wife of Chris; Mama to a little boy and girl, as well as a rambunctious Goldendoodle; General Counsel for Little Sunshine’s Playhouse & Preschool; Adjunct Professor at Missouri State University; Advisory Board Member for Diaper Bank of the Ozarks; Appellate Judge on the Missouri State Child Abuse & Neglect Review Board; Member of the Greene County Domestic Violence Shelter Board; Commissioner on the City of Springfield’s Mayor’s Commission on Human Rights & Community Relations; involved with the various fabulous events coordinated by Immaculate Conception’s amazing Home and School Board, including Assistant Chair for the 2020 IC Fashion Show. I am also a huge Miami Hurricanes fan as a double alumna (law school and undergrad) at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL.

Fun Fact:
When I worked at Disney World, at the Magic Kingdom, in college, I lived with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. It’s a fun thing to tell my children at the start of Disney movies when we see Cinderella’s castle: “mommy used to work there!” 🙂
