JLS History:

I joined in 2012 and my previous committees include: Fund Development Chair & Assistant Chair, Public Affairs, Placement, Charity Ball (x2), Digital Media.

Why You Joined JLS:

I joined JLS originally to meet other women who held like minded views of making a positive impact in the community. I stayed because I met some awesome and diverse women of all races, religions, and origins who had the same commitment of voluntarism as me. I made some life long friendships and connections to the Springfield community.

Favorite JLS Event:

Fall Home Tour- Where else can you get a sneak peak into people’s decked-out houses? Plus my friends and I make a day of it with breakfast in the morning and lunch after.

Favorite JLS Memory:

My time taking the “Know Your City” tour in 2012 and getting to know my new member class. I learned so many new places that I didn’t even know existed In Springfield.

Life Outside the League:

I believe kindness is a boomerang and always returns back two fold. I also believe your greatness is not what you have, but what you give so I volunteer my time with Watching Over Whiskers. I also serve on the Board of Directors for SAAF Spay Neuter Clinic and am an advocate about Spaying and Neutering to end pet overpopulation. I am a catlady at heart, but share my love of animals with my husband Ryan as well. I originally came to MSU in 2002 and have lived in Springfield ever since.

Fun Fact:

I am a multitasker and can’t watch TV without reading a book or magazine.
