AT LARGE BOARD MEMBER

JLS History: My first year in our league was 2011-2012.  I spent four years on The Plaid Door, two of which as a committee member and two as a assistant chair and chair.  I have been our Donor Relations chair, Charity Ball chair, Manager of Finance and am currently in my second year as a member of the Board of Directors.

Why You Joined JLS:  I was ready to become more in our community. My mom was active in our league when I was young and I loved seeing all the projects the JLS has provided for Springfield.

Favorite JLS Event:  I can’t pick just one!  The Plaid Door monthly sales! Shop, Savor, Bid as well as Charity Ball.

Favorite JLS Memory: Being a part of the team that moved our retail store, The Plaid Door, to its current model inside our JLS headquarters. The work, the friendships and the stratification gained from helping our store stay relevant will forever be close to my heart. Over 5 year later, seeing the store still be a successful fundraiser as well as engaged committee for our league shows that all the work was worth it.

Life Outside the League:

My husband and I have two children, ages 7 and 4.  I am co-owner of a Metrology laboratory here in Springfield.

Fun Fact: I grew up on a small “city farm” as I call it just outside Springfield with miniature horses, goats and now we have miniature donkeys!
