Update on COVID-19

Last updated March 17, 2020

For the Junior League of Springfield, there is nothing we take more seriously than the safety and well-being of our members. As novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to be of growing concern, the Junior League of Springfield is taking all possible and appropriate measures to ensure our members are safe. Please find more information below.

JLS Meeting & Events
In light of the increasing threat of COVID-19, all JLS events and meetings for the month of March are cancelled. This includes all calendar events – training events, Done-In-A-Days, and committee meetings. We request that if you have to conduct committee business or hold a committee meeting you do so remotely by phone or video conference. Please see the below regarding Charity Ball and Plaid Door.

Charity Ball
The Junior League of Springfield’s Management Team and Board of Directors are in the process of reviewing Charity Ball, which is currently scheduled for Saturday, March 28. Please look for more information and an official statement regarding Charity Ball this week.

Plaid Door
All Plaid Door sales for the month of March are cancelled. This includes the sale on Sunday, March 22. Additionally, we will not be accepting any new clothing or merchandise donations through the month of March. We will continue monitoring as the situation continues to develop and make further decisions regarding future sales and donations in the coming weeks.

Our most valuable resources
Our most valuable resource is and always will be you, our members. We are committed to actions that maintain the health of all, and as such, we have implemented these changes and will continue monitoring the situation on a regular on-going basis.

Thank you for your support and your patience as we navigate this unprecedented public health crisis.
